All authors submitting their work to JEPMI for peer review and possible publication must agree to the copyright policy under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
Plagiarism
The journal takes all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, extremely seriously. Hence, it is the authors’ full responsibility to ensure that the work they submit to this journal is their original work and that it has not been published previously elsewhere. Ethical Issues
- The Journal of Economic Policy and Management Issues takes publication ethics seriously.
- Authors are reminded to observe the publication ethics as set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), to which the journal subscribes.
- Authors are fully responsible for obtaining ethical clearance for the research they have done (where necessary). Papers that do not meet the minimum ethical standards will be rejected outright.
- Authors are expected to submit their own original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not concurrently under review elsewhere.
- In addition, authors should be the owners of the copyright and be entitled to sign the Author Copyright Agreement should the paper be accepted for publication after peer review.
- Papers previously presented at conferences or those that were previously uploaded to institutional repositories as working papers may be submitted – provided that such information is acknowledged in the paper and the authors have copyright for those papers.
- Where a paper is authored by more than one author, the corresponding author will be expected to provide a definitive list of all authors at the time of submission. In addition, all authors should agree on the order in which the authors will be listed based on their individual contributions.
- Any changes to the authorship must be approved by the Editor-in-Chief after a clear reason for the change has been provided by the corresponding author. Moreover, such a request must be supported by all authors, including those who are being added to or removed from the manuscript.
- Upon acceptance, the editorial office of JEPMI will furnish the corresponding author of the accepted paper with proofs for correction, which should be returned within 14 days. Failure to return the proofs within the stipulated timeframe may delay the paper's publication or result in the paper being published without the author's corrections. The journal or the Editor-in-Chief will not be held responsible for any errors that occur as a result of the author's oversight or non-compliance with this policy.
- All submissions will be acknowledged as speedily as possible. Authors are advised to continually check their 'bulk mail' folder or their 'junk mailbox' if they fail to receive feedback from us in good time. They should also consider adding our email to their “safe list”.

a) They are fully authorised to sign the publication agreement on behalf of other authors (if applicable).
b) They own the copyright of the paper.
c) Their paper has not been published elsewhere and is NOT under consideration for publication elsewhere in any form.
d) Their paper does not contain any content that may be deemed to be defamatory or fraudulent and does not invade the privacy of any person or infringe upon the rights of any person in any manner. Furthermore, they agree to indemnify the publisher against all such claims.
e) They have been granted legal permission by appropriate authorities to reproduce or use any copyright-protected material that has been included in their paper (if applicable).
f) They have agreed with their co-authors regarding the order in which their names should appear in the paper (if applicable).
Appeals
Although JEPMI will ensure that all submitted papers are reviewed fairly and without prejudice, authors are free to appeal any decision taken on their manuscript if they strongly believe that the reviewers' comments are biased. In such instances, authors are expected to explain clearly why they disagree with the reviewers’ comments, or the final decision made on their papers. However, in such instances, the rebuttals to the reviewers' comments or to the final decision should be scholarly in nature and should be for intellectual discourse.
